Pakistan - Xinjiang

I was always amazed by the Karakoram Highway (KKH) in the Pamir Range. Being in Thailand gave me an excellent opportunity to explore both the Karakoram Highway and Xinjiang of China. I planned such a trip 2 years ago but couldn’t implement it due to some unexpected circumstances. This year something suddenly happened to my company and that gave me a chance to travel for 10 days. I made my decision right away and started the trip 2 weeks later.

Philippines

The Philippines is usually ignored by most travelers to Southeast Asia due to its relatively isolated location and to certain extent the news coverage of the international networks. Not surprisingly, it’s the last Southeast Asian country (except East Timor) I visited but the charm of the country is definitely not the last.

Tarutao - Trang

The majority of the travelers to Thailand visit the most popular islands like Phuket and Samui. Having been to both islands, I decided to check out some of the less visited islands in Southern Thailand using a long weekend in February.

Singapore - East Malaysia - Brunei

During the 2006 New Year period, I had a 7 day trip to Singapore (to get a new visa to Thailand), Sarawak & Sabah in East Malaysia and Brunei in between. I had been to Singapore and Malaysia before but this time I was to discover something new.

Southwest China

Thailand is actually quite close to Southwest China - the best part of China from travelers' perspective. Direct flights between Bangkok and Chengdu/Kunming in Southwest China make traveling to this part of China from Thailand much easier.

South Asia

Living in Thailand gives me an excellent opportunity to explore various countries in Asia. South Asia is definitely a must. Most part of South Asia is hot so December seems a good time to visit. Advanced preparation is essential. As required by the government of Bhutan, I arranged a customized tour from a travel agency and got my 2-day visa on arrival. I also applied for a multi-entry visa to India and bought an Indrail Pass in advance.

Cambodia

Other than Laos, Cambodia is so close to Thailand. It's not surprising that I used a long weekend to explore this country quickly.

Western Europe

I just got a job offer in Thailand starting July. Before this new challenge, I decided to have an express trip to Western Europe and have a glimpse of some of the major cities there.
