Due to my work schedule, I have a very short break for this holiday season. Exploring some small islands in Eastern Caribbean seems to be a reasonable choice. To further enhance the trip, I extended my stopover in Portland to a whole day on the way back.

West Kootenay - Okanagan Valley
Greyhound Canada announced earlier this year they would cease all Western Canada operations from November 2018. This is really bad news for me and I decided to take advantage of their last operations by going to West Kootenay and Okanagan Valley this Labour Day long weekend.

Victoria
Although I have been to Victoria many times in the past (mostly on business), I have never checked out the famous Butchart Gardens. People around me gave me mixed opinions about the place. My sister Mandy happens to visit me and would like to check out Victoria, giving me an excellent opportunity to re-visit Victoria and check out Butchart Gardens - using public transportation of course.
